Renaissance Interior Design
Renaissance Interior Design is a Massachusetts-based design firm accepting residential engagement throughout New England. Renaissance was founded in 1993 by Jayne M. Pelosi. Jayne is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry - Cape Cod and is a member of the Provincetown Business Guild. Jayne studied at the Sheffield School of Interior Design based in New York City, but considers herself predominantly self-taught.
Jayne has always had a flair for the dramatic and a passion for all that is beautiful—particularly interior spaces. She launched Renaissance Interior Design following a much acclaimed career in sales management in the communications industry. During her 13 years as principal in her own firm she has transformed Boston condominiums, vacation homes on the Cape, new construction for growing families in the suburbs and turn-of-the-century bungalows for subway commuters.
Jayne graduated from Boston University Summa Cum Laude with Distinction in Psychology which accounts, at least in part, for her wonderful way with people and her fabulous listening skills. Her approach to the design process is to determine her client's vision for their home and translate that into a reality integrating the client's favorite things with thoughtfully chosen acquisitions.
Jayne's home recently was featured in the Duxbury Spring House Tour and she has contributed to several national publications including Today's Home - Bedrooms and Baths and Today's Home - 101 Do-It-Yourself Decorating Projects. She has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Patriot Ledger, The Natick Times, The Kingston Mariner, The Middlesex News and was spotlighted on NBC's morning magazine program “Real Life.” She is a regular contributor to HGTV.com and the online newsletter HGTV Decorating. In addition to writing a monthly column for the national publication The Homesteader, Jayne serves as “Celebrity Guru” for the online magazine www.LifeTips.com. In 2005, Jayne published her first book, Interior Divine: Walking You Through the Transformation of Your Home, available to purchase on this web site.
